Saudi envoy calls for improvement in trade ties

ISLAMABAD: There is need to improve mutual trade between Muslim countries as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have been making hectic efforts in this regard.

This was stated by H.E Ali. Awadh Al-Asseri, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, during a talk with President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry Nasir Khan and Chairman FPCCI Islamabad Office Munawar Mughal in meeting.

He informed that about above two million Pakistani are running their businesses in Saudi Arabia. He invited Pakistani traders for vigilance of growth of big cities of Saudi Arabia during their Umrah or Hajj visit.

Nasir Khan, President ICCI said that Pakistan is proud of its cultural, religious and historic ties with Saudi Arabia, which are further strengthened. President stressed to enhance the bilateral trade and said policies of the government of Pakistan were also conducive to investment and Saudi investors should take keen interest to invest here in various sectors. President ICCI said that there are lot of opportunities for promoting business between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

He appreciated that Saudi Arabia always helped Pakistan. He added that trade delegations would be exchanged so that businessmen could understand market situation and opportunities in each country.
