Non functional CJ, his family members are kept like prisoners: Class fellows of CJ’s daughter

ISLAMABAD: The non functional chief justice and his family members are kept like prisoners and his residence is under the occupation of certain unknown people.

This was told by the friends of daughter of non functional chief justice while addressing a protest rally after their meeting with inactive chief justice and his family members. They were Abeera Fayyaz, Zaneera Fayyaz and Mekhail Khan.

PPP-P central leaders Abida Hussain, Zammurd Khan, Khawaja Asif and Saadia Abbasi of PML-N also participated in the demonstration. A large number of women, lawyers and Haroon ur Rashid president Islamabad bar association also attended the rally.

The protesters chanted slogans against information minister Muhammad Ali Durrani and law minister Wasi Zafar.

The friends of daughter of non functional chief justice who is studying in Bahria university told when they reached outside residence, the security personnel stopped them from entering into residence for about one and half and hour. They were allowed to meet the family members of non functional chief justice after the security personnel obtained permission from the concerned authorities.

“ Non functional chief justice and his family members are kept like prisoners. Unknown persons were sitting in the home and the whole residence was under their occupation. But morale of non functional chief justice and his family members is high. He is composed and very serene in the prevailing situation. He says his hands are clean and Almighty Allah will bestow success upon him”, they held.
