4th round of Pak-India composite dialogue to be held next year

ISLAMABAD: The fourth round of composite dialogue between Pakistan and India would be held in Islamabad and then New Delhi at the start of next year.

The complete understanding regarding the composite dialogue would be finalized in the third round of Foreign Secretaries level talks to be held in the mid of November in New Delhi.

It may be recalled that the India after the Mumbai train bomb blast suspended the process of composite dialogue unilaterally.

Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, Riaz Muhammad Khan would lead the Pakistani delegation while the Indian delegation would be led by its Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon.

In the fourth round of composite dialogue, eight issues would be discussed and special attention would be given during the negotiations to the core issue of Kashmir and other issues related to peace and stability. The suggestions presented by President General Pervez Musharraf for the resolution of Kashmir issue would also be discussed.

Both Foreign Secretaries would present the report of the review session to their Foreign Ministers.

Sources revealed that India wants to make the anti terrorism joint mechanism as part of the composite dialogue while Pakistan is considering to make it the part of Foreign level talks.
