Book on Balochistan "Death of Lion" launched

ISLAMABAD: Book launching ceremony of the book "Sher kee Mout" (Death of a Lion) focusing on failed attempts of parliamentary committee to clash with Nawab Akbar Bugti has been held here Monday in a local hotel. Book has been authored by Nargis Baloch.

All the eminent scholars and poets including noted poet Ahmad Faraz and journalist Hamid Mir attended the ceremony.

Ahmad Faraz said Nargis Baloch has presented the case of Balochistan before the masses keeping in view the facts. It is doubtlessly a good attempt as the writer belongs to Balochistan, he added.

Hamid Mir said Nargis Baloch has discharged its due obligations in a befitting manner as witness to the entire scenario of Balochistan. The need is there that the situation of Balochistan be improved so that harmony is forged among the provinces and the issues are resolved through dialogues.

Nargis Baloch told she was witness as to how the situation of Balochistan evolved. " But I had never been part of parliamentary committee on Balochistan . I am witness to the whole situation behind the scene", she added. Chaudhry Shujaat and Mushahid Hussain Sayyed wanted whole heartedly that Balochistan issue should be settled amicably. But the situation took another turn which led to confrontation rather than compromise, she regretted.
