National Rowing team vows to display exceptional performance in 10th SAG

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan National Rowing Team which won six gold medals in 9th South Asian Games (SAG) held in Pakistan reiterated that they would defend their title successfully in 10th SAG to be held in Sri Lanka.

According to the details, 16 member National Rowing Team would participate in 10 SAG to be held in Sri Lankan capital Colombo from August 18 to 27.

Pakistan’s team would participate in different categories of the event including Single Sculls (Light Weight), Single Sculls (Open), Double Sculls (Light Weight), Double Sculls (Open), Coxless Pair (Open), Coxless Four (Light Weigh) and Coxless Four (Open).

Pakistani team includes Muhammad Akram (Single Sculls Light Weight) and Single Sculls Open), Zohaib Zia Hashmi and Muhammad Asad (Double Sculls Light Event ), (Maqbool Ali and Ali Hasan - Double Sculls Open), Adeel Sultan and Syed Tabbasum Abass - Coxless Pair Open, Majeed Ahmed, Muhammad Riaz, Muhammad Nazir, Muzamil Hussain (Coxless Four - Light Weight), Sabir Ahmed, Azmat Javed, Ghulam Nabi, Farasat Ali (Coxless Four - Open)

Muhammad Akram who won two gold medals in the Single Sculls (Light Weight) and Single Sculls (Open) event respectively in 9th SAG while talking to Online expressed his confidence that he would repeat his performance in the 10th SAG.
