DUBAI: Former President of Pakistan, General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf has asked the Chief Election Commissioner to conduct next general elections in the supervision of the armed forces.
Addressing Iftar dinner from Catholic Club to Dubai via video link, Pervez Musharraf was of the view that fair and transparent general elections will bring change in the country.

He said he would announce his coming back to Pakistan prior to the next general elections.
Pervez Musharraf termed terrorism as a curse and stressed that this menace should be shackled.
He noted sectarianism is destroying the country.
He said he has no knowledge about who is involved in the Karachi unrest.
He observed he resigned from the seat of President of Pakistan nearly four years ago because there was no need of his remaining in power after the election of new assemblies and the parliament.
