According to YDA call, the young doctors will embark on the path of demonstrations on July 26 from General Hospital Lahore; the demonstrations will continue till August 13.
The young doctors asserted no strike will be observed at hospital wards during the demonstrations, warning however, they will extend their protest to all the government hospitals, if their demands are not met.
It should be mentioned that at least 18 days ago doctors called off their strike after half month of heightened strike with boycott of emergency, indoors and OPD wards. In this meantime, case was lodged against doctors over the killing of an infant.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered young doctors to end their strike and resume work in outpatient and inpatient departments of all government hospitals. The court also asked the provincial government to work for service structure of doctors.
