Monsoon spell to start from today: Met office

ISLAMABAD: After a long spell of hot weather, relief seems to be given by the nature to mass victims of burning climate and hours long loadshedding as the onset of monsoon season is likely from today (Friday), Meteorological department said on Thursday.

According to Met office, the first spell of monsoon rains will start from today (Friday) and will continue till July 8. However, more rains are expected in the second week of July.
Meanwhile, weather turned pleasant after Azad Kahsmir and Abbottabad received rainfall on Thursday. However, weather remained hot and dry in the plain areas of the country.
According to met office, gusty winds are likely to blow in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Hazara division.
