ISLAMABAD: Full court session of the Supreme Court will be held tomorrow (Friday) under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary.
Sources said the session would take up the blames put by Malik Riaz on Chief Justice and Supreme Court in his Tuesday’s press conference.
Supreme Court judges will take into account video recording of the press briefing conducted by Malik Riaz.
Meanwhile, Registrar Supreme Court, Dr Faqeer Hussain told BBC in an interview that matters related with speedy delivery of justice by Supreme Court, High courts and subordinate courts in addition to the administrative matters would be discussed.
He said the full court session was called for dealing with administrative issues prior to the summer vacations in Supreme Court that would start from June 16.
It is pertinent to mention, full-court session of the Supreme Court was also held some days ago, when tension grew between the Supreme Court and the government and media was spreading news that federal government was taking back notification that was issued marking restoration of the deposed Supreme Court judges.
On that occasion, the Supreme Court called for an explanation from the government regarding the matter, whereas the government denied taking any action against the judiciary.
However, despite demand of the Supreme Court, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani refused to submit a written reply in the Supreme Court.
