The NA members belonging to government side and Opposition during budget session said that the current budget for the fiscal year of 2012-13 would put more burdens on the masses despite providing any relief.
They expressed their grief that every year budget is presented regularly, however, unfortunately, it is not being spent on the people therefore, “ every year we are experiencing budget deficit”.
MNA of Awami National Party Bushra Gohar while talking on point of order said that likewise the previous budget 2011-12, the current budget for the fiscal year 2012-13 also representing the ‘Capitalism’ thought.
She expressed her concern that there is no role Parliamentary Committees in the Assembly. Bushra demanded that the subsidy, which is given to NLC and other departments, should be abolished while Tax should be imposed on every kind of income including agricultural products.
The Government should take notice of the war torn tribal areas of FATA rather it should announce special package for FATA, Bushra Gohar added. The ANP MNA also highlighted the issue of Human Rights activist and senior lawyer Asma Jehangir thatches is receiving life threats, therefore, govt should take notice in this regard.
Talking on point of order, JUI MNA Liaq Muhammad Khan said, “We are in favour for the establishment of Seraiki province, however, the Seraiki people should support for formation of separate Hazara province”.
Engineer Usman Tarkai said that Kala Bagh Dam should construct therefore it should not be made controversial. From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, we can generate 45000-megawatt electricity while government should not increase tax on Tobacco items as it is on of the major crop of KP province.
JUI Maulvi Asmat Ullah said that the current budget is not balanced budget. He proposed that government should construct more dams and tube wells in Balochistan to save the agriculture in the province while the government has not allocated any amount for Balochistan in terms of agriculture.
He also expressed dissatisfaction over the deteriorating law and order situation of the country. Maulvi Asmat Ullah blamed that public wealth is being transferred to foreign banks while Chief Minister Balochistan is not taking notice of the deteriorating situation of the province.
