Democracy under threat: Nawaz

SUKKUR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that a good politician should resign from his post after being proved guilty.
Speaking to media at Sukkur airport on Wednesday, he said that everything about the rulers had been exposed following the Supreme Court’s detailed judgment. The former prime minister said that Gilani should not delay his resignation. He said that democracy was in danger. Earlier speaking at a rally, Sharif said that the PPP and Zardari cashed the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and did nothing to address the miseries of people.

He said that Zardari looted people’s wealth and stashed in Swiss banks. Nawaz vowed that he would bring the killers of Benazir Bhutto behind the bars. The former prime minister said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had convicted Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and he was adamant not to implement court orders.
