29 days left with PM for appeal against SC judgement

ISLAMABAD: To file an appeal for reviewing judgment in the contempt of court case, 29 days are left for Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, while the copy of detail judgment of the Supreme Court has been received by the PM House, National Assembly Secretariat and Election Commission.

The PM is on official visit to the United Kingdom these days and discussed different aspects of the SC detailed judgment with the cabinet members who are included in the delegation.
Sources said the PM has directed his Law and Constitution analysts to complete the work for filing an appeal in SC for reviewing the verdict.
It is pertinent to mention that in the past, references for disqualification against Qazi Hussain Ahmad, Liaquat Baloch and others were sent to then Speaker NA Ameer Hussain but he had not sent those references to the Election Commission till the ending of government term.
